Sales Tax Thirteenth Schedule – Minimum production based on inputs
For listed goods, a minimum level of monthly production is presumed from the inputs consumed. Sales tax is due on that minimum if declared supplies are lower.
Who it applies to
Manufacturers of the listed goods
Rates and limits
| Item | Rate / rule |
|---|---|
| Basis | Production presumed from inputs consumed (for example electricity or raw material), at the ratios in the Schedule |
| Effect | Tax payable on the higher of declared supplies and the presumed minimum |
How it works in practice
Keep production records (Annex-J) that explain wastage and stock, so presumed production can be rebutted with evidence.
