Overview

End-to-end integration with FBR's digital invoicing system: every sales tax invoice, debit note and credit note is sent to FBR in real time and comes back with an FBR invoice number and QR code. We handle the tax side and coordinate the technical side with PRAL or a licensed integrator.

Why it matters

FBR's digital invoicing rules require many registered businesses to issue invoices that are reported to FBR in real time. Getting the integration right means your invoices are valid, your buyers can claim input tax, and your system keeps working during audits.

Who needs this

  • All sales tax registered persons – companies, AOPs and individuals
  • Manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and distributors
  • Tier-1 retailers (alongside POS integration)
  • Businesses whose buyers are asking for FBR-verified invoices

Questions

How long does it take?

About 2–4 weeks, depending on your software. Step by step: Readiness check (1–2 days), Product and tax mapping (2–4 days), Integrator choice (1–2 days), IRIS enablement and tokens (1–3 days), Sandbox testing (3–10 days), Go live (Day one), Monthly reconciliation (Every month).

What does it cost?

We give a fixed quote after reviewing your case. Government fees are extra where they apply.

What happens if I miss a deadline?

Penalties under section 33 for not integrating, rising with each default, and possible sealing of premises. Buyers can be denied input tax on invoices issued outside the system, so customers may stop buying from you. Registration can be suspended, and in serious cases blacklisted, for non-integration. After 72 hours an invoice can only be changed with the Commissioner's approval.

Does FBR charge for integration?

No. FBR charges no fee and PRAL's route is free. Licensed integrators charge their own fees within limits set by FBR.

Can we keep our current software?

Usually yes. Most ERP, POS and billing tools can connect through an integrator. If yours can't, we suggest a compliant replacement.

Our deadline has already passed. What now?

Integrate as soon as possible and keep a record of each step. We also reply to any notice or penalty order you receive.

Is this the same as Tier-1 POS integration?

No. Tier-1 retailers integrate their point of sale under separate rules. We handle both, and they can run through one or more integrators.

Does my existing software work?

Often yes. We check whether your ERP or POS can connect through an approved integrator or needs changes.

What happens if invoices are not integrated?

Invoices that are not reported as required can be challenged and penalties can apply. We help you meet the deadline that applies to your sector.
